In 1982, Bargain Bill opened the doors of a small store in downtown Rice Lake, Wisconsin, stocked with an array of closeouts and liquidations. We struggled through the first years becoming a popular place to browse and save on 'just about everything'. Most folks stopped in out of curiosity, liked what they found, and then told their friends.

By 1992, we were bursting at our seams. In a daring venture prior to big stores being built on the edge of towns, Bargain Bill built a 20,000 square foot store on the North West edge of Rice Lake. With only a handful of employees, the expanded enterprise worked hard to make things go. You could find huge rolls of fabric, bowling pins, everyday household items, pet supplies, knick knacks and about everything in between! Our buyers searched far and wide to bring our customers everything from ordinary to unusual and unique. Bargain Bill's became a destination!

Our customers came to us looking for craft items, so Our Craft and Gift store was born. Here you will find everything from silk and dried floral, to giftware, scrap book items (dare we say literally thousands of sheets of scrapbook papers, rubber stamps,stickers and embellishments????) Soon our crafty staff added monthly crop nights and Saturday demo's to their calendar too!
Those who endear our few months of summer here in Northern Wisconsin asked for live plants and flowers, so Bargain Bill's adventurous staff of green thumbs built a greenhouse! Here is where you will find annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, trees, shrubs and more!
In 1992, Bargain Bill met up with a representative from a major carpet mill, who suggested putting some carpet rems in the store to see how they'd sell. Always ready for a new adventure, Bargain Bill gave it a try. By 1994, the remnants had sold well enough for Bargain Bill to open a 7,800 square foot store next to the Main Store to sell floor coverings.

By 2000, the small Floor Store had outgrown it's building, so they expanded into a bigger and better building of their own. Now you'll not only find carpet and vinyl, but also ceramic and porcelain tile, hardwoods and laminates,area rugs,underlayment and supplies!! This area's largest in-stock selection of flooring and flooring supplies was born!

In 2002, Bargain Bill was ready to try something new. He traveled and talked, debated and asked, and finally settled on selling furniture. By the following spring, Yabba Furniture Company was born. Yabba Furniture made home right next to the Floor Store, making a complimentary duo that cannot be beat!
